We love our Children's Room patrons, they are some of the nicest, and most creative, people we know! A big thanks to Kim, the mom of one of our littlest patrons, who has been kind enough to bake us some special treats. Last month we received amazing green cake pops in honor of St. Patrick's Day and just yesterday Kim gave us the sweetest pink bunny cake pops. I was inspired to take out some of my daughter's baby things to shoot pictures of Kim's creation. So instead of scoffing up the pop immediately (like I did with the last one) I was patient enough to take pictures first. :)
Miss Kelly and I have now been inspired to have a Cake Pops program with the kids and will hopefully be able to convince Kim of discovering a pre-school friendly way of making them!
We just ordered Bakerella's book Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistable Mini Treats. Look for it soon in our new books display! In the meantime, go to Bakerella's Cool blog here. Check out the book This Little Bunny Can Bake by Janet Stein and read it with your kids before you make your own desserts. It's a cute story with beautiful illustrations and delicious recipes. Bake up some Milk Chocolate Truffles and Berry Petit Cream Cheese Tarts after making some Cake Pops!
